Editorial policy

Editorial policy

How we decide what to cover, how we keep the reviews independent, and - plainly - how we make money.

Our standards

Zazachat test 5 publishes independent, hands-on reviews of live chat and AI customer support software. Every ranking is tied to our published testing methodology and edited by a named human reviewer. We favor concrete trade-offs over hype and name what a tool is genuinely best for. This page is placeholder copy for the skeleton; the full policy is maintained by our editorial team.

How we make money

We are reader-supported, and we think you deserve a straight answer about how that works:

  • Rankings are editorial and not for sale. The order of our lists follows our testing criteria and evidence - not payment. No vendor can buy a higher position.
  • Sponsored placements are labeled. When a placement is paid, we mark it as "Sponsored" or "Featured Partner" and set it apart from the organically ranked list.
  • Some links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission when you buy or sign up through certain links, at no extra cost to you. This helps fund the testing.

To be clear, we do not claim to run zero sponsorships - we do accept them, and we label them. What we do not do is let that money change a ranking. The single commission disclosure in our site footer covers this across the site.

Independence of rankings

A sponsored vendor is never placed at the top of an editorial ranking because they paid. Paid slots live in their own labeled section, visually separate from the organic list, so you always know which is which. If a relationship could reasonably affect how you read a review, we disclose it.

Corrections

We fix errors. If you believe something we published is inaccurate or out of date, let us know via our contact page and we will review it and correct the record where needed. Pricing and features change often; we revisit reviews to keep them current.

Sources & AI use

Reviews are based on first-hand testing plus primary sources such as vendor documentation and pricing. We do not publish anonymous or AI-generated rankings; a named reviewer is accountable for every list. Any tools used to assist research are always under human editorial control.
